You were saying...
I love watching boats bob at anchor on a beautiful summer twilight.
One of my favorite spots is the town dock in Port Washington. Just sit on a bench, watch the boats and listen the bells in the cans…
Great pics!

Thanks Guapo! There’s something terribly romantic and adventurous about boats…all boats. Size doesn’t matter!
I would love to see, smell and hear Port Washington!

I grew up along the Ohio River, and watching the river boats go by was always pleasant. And sometimes we would get treated by the Delta Queen. Here an old post for you.

Meanwhile, the next to the last pic is bring awe and calm … but the last one is what captures my attention. It must be the combination of calmness of the day, the bay, and the mountains. Thanks for the treat!

I just checked out your link Frank…and thanks for that! The riverboats are awesome, and I don’t use that word lightly.
I like that last pic as well…there’s something very familiar, yet also very foreign about it.

Alex,
These pictures are beautiful. Montreal is a port city, and we’re lucky to have boats passing through between our shores. Holy crap… Le Clown is serious… Enough.
Le Clown

Thank you Le Clown! Montreal is a city I would love to visit one day. And don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about Le Clown being serious…enough.

Thanks Richard! And I would LOVE to be at Praia da Areia Branca right this very second, I can almost feel that ocean breeze, but San Antonio will have to do….for now!

Praia da Areia Branca is an amazing beach in a completely exotic setting…you would love it. We’d just have to watch out for crocodiles!
April 18, 2012 at 7:06 pm
Gotta love the super basic double skid stabilizers on the Timorese fishing boat!
April 20, 2012 at 2:38 pm
