Ligeia Mare, shown here in a false-color image from the Cassini orbiter, is the second largest known body of liquid on Saturn's moon Titan. It measures roughly 420 km x 350 km and its shorelines extend for over 3,000 km. It is filled with liquid hydrocarbons, such as ethane and methane, and is one of the many seas and lakes that bejewel Titan's north polar region. The Cassini–Huygens mission is a project of NASA/JPL, ESA and the Italian space agency.

Holy crap – how big is that thing?
How about “Soup”?

Holy crap is right! It was ummm…..huge, but very cool …mostly because it went about it’s business and didn’t freak me out by making any move whatsoever in my direction….which would have caused me to scream hysterically. I think she may be some type of golden orb-weaver, but I’m not really sure.
You want to name the spider ‘Soup’? Is there a story behind that….or is this in any way SOPA related? : )

I have no idea – but the colours on its body look interesting. Wonder if it is poisonous?

Just about all spiders are venomous, it’s how they make their living! : ) However, if this is some type of golden orb-weaver it’s venom isn’t lethal to humans. It’s venom has a neurotoxic effect similar to a black widow, but not nearly as potent.

That spider that size can call itself whatever it likes so long as it stays in its own yard

) Scary too, lol

I really don’t mind spiders….as long as I know where they are! Had I walked into her web without knowing her whereabouts, I would have been freaked. Luckily she was very easy to spot from a distance!

It scares the s*** out of me ahah!! If I was realizing I had such a thing running on my body I would literally go crazy like Jim Carey in Ace Ventura when he ends up in a cave with bats flying all round him ahahah.

I would be cool with KNOWING it was on me…..but to suddenly realize that it MIGHT be on me…..totally different! Massive freak-out!

Ahah yes!! Like when people say with a panicked voice “Don’t move! You got something on you” but you don’t know where it is, and then you don’t know where it’s gone.

Exactly! : )

I’m pretty sure it’s related to The Predator.
